Common questions
Does money move without my PIN?+
Never. Every transfer stops on a confirmation card showing the name the bank returned, the account, the fee and what your balance will be afterwards, and nothing leaves until you enter your PIN. Asking a question about that card does not cancel it and does not send it.
I started a transfer and changed my mind.+
Say "cancel that payment", or just "cancel". If it is the amount you want to change rather than the whole thing, say "no be 10k, na 15k" — it corrects the payment already on screen instead of starting a new one.
Somebody is asking me for my PIN. Is that you?+
No. TrustAm staff will never ask for your PIN, and neither will this chat. If somebody calls claiming to be us, say so here — "person call me say na from trustam, e wan my pin" — and we will tell you exactly what to do.
My phone has been stolen.+
Say it immediately: "thief carry my handset" or "lock everything now". The account is frozen on the spot, so no money can leave it, and we walk you through getting back in on a new line.
Can I stop myself overspending?+
Yes, and the limits are yours, not ours. "no let me send pass 5k at once", "cap wetin i fit send per day at 50k", "i no wan spend pass 200k this whole month". Say "wetin be my limit" to see them and "remove my limits" to take them off.
Do I need to open an account first?+
To ask questions, no. To hold or move money, yes — and you can do it here: "i wan get account for here". It needs your NIN or BVN and an email address, and takes about two minutes.
How do I get out of something I started by mistake?+
Type "menu", "main menu", "home", "options" to get back to the list of everything, or "cancel" to drop what is half-finished. Both work in the middle of any flow, and neither sends anything.
