Using your account

Send, withdraw and receive money

Your TrustAm account lives in WhatsApp. There is no USSD code and no branch to visit: you type what you want, and you approve money leaving with your PIN on a private page.

Withdraw or send money

Type: send 5000 to [account number] [bank]. It works for anyone, and for your own account at another bank, which is how you withdraw.

Before anything moves, the bot shows you the name on that account. You confirm with your PIN on TrustAm's secure page, never in the chat.

Receive money

Give people your TrustAm account number. The bank to pick in their app is Rubies MFB (some apps call it Rubies Microfinance Bank). Their app shows the account name before they send.

Balance, statement and your PIN

Type "balance" to see what you have, and "my statement" for your recent transactions.

To set or change your PIN, type "how do I set my PIN". The bot sends you a private link; nobody at TrustAm will ever ask you for it.

Questions people ask

How do I withdraw from my TrustAm account?

Send the money to your own account at another bank: type "send 5000 to [your account number] [your bank]" in the TrustAm WhatsApp chat and approve it with your PIN.

Does TrustAm have a USSD code or a branch?

No. TrustAm works in WhatsApp. Your account itself is at Rubies MFB, a CBN-licensed microfinance bank.

What bank name do people choose to send me money?

Rubies MFB (also shown as Rubies Microfinance Bank), with your TrustAm account number.

My transfer has not arrived. What do I do?

Type "where is my money" in the chat: the bot checks the transfer on the bank's record. If it still needs a person, type "agent".
